River Country Photography Tours
I’ve spent decades working with birds of prey—studying their behavior, understanding their habitat, and learning how to locate them in the wild. That expertise is what sets these photography tours apart.
As a raptor specialist, I know where Peregrine Falcons hunt along river corridors. I can find Northern Goshawks in dense forest where most people would never spot them. I understand how eagles, hawks, and falcons move through the landscape—and more importantly, I know how to position photographers for the shot.
Idaho is one of the best places in North America for raptor photography. The landscapes are dramatic. The wildlife is abundant. But you need to know where to look and when to be there.
I created these tours for serious wildlife photographers who want access to locations and species they can’t find on their own. Whether you’re shooting wild raptors, capturing Idaho’s stunning geological formations, or photographing the Palouse at golden hour, I bring the field knowledge that makes the difference between coming home with snapshots and coming home with portfolio-worthy images.
These aren’t casual sightseeing tours. We’re here to photograph wildlife and landscapes. I keep groups small (up to 6 photographers), stay flexible with timing and locations based on conditions, and focus on putting you in the right place at the right time with the right light.
